Bacteria Creates A Healthy Septic System Environment

Bacteria is a very important component of all septic systems new and old. The primary reason for adding bacteria to any septic system is to help in the decomposition of the waste. Without the bacteria, the waste would not break down rapidly enough and eventually begin exiting the tank and entering the drain area. As a result, the drain area of your septic system will become clogged with harmful waste. Once this process starts, it becomes very hard to reverse the cycle. If this continues untreated for an extended amount of time it will completely clog the drain area and result in a complete system installation!
Pumping the tank on a regular schedule an the importance- Most cases people are left under the impression “if it aint broke, dont fix it” I would agree if we’re talking about a light bulb. But seeing how this is your septic system… it like your car requires constant maintainenace on a regular schedule. For example cleaning your septic tank is like changing the oil in your car. You may brag about not changing the oil for 10,000 miles but sooner than later it is going to catch up with you and you will have to repair or replace the entire engine. It is the exact same way for septic systems, don’t clean your tank and i promise you, sooner or later you will have to repair or replace the entire system. Bacteria alone can not replace cleaning a septic tank, every living thing creates waste, the bacteria’s waste is generally heavy than water so it settles to the bottom of the tank. Over time this waste (what we call “sludge”) will begin to accumalate. As this sludge layer becomes deeper it is more likely that it will exit the tank every time water is introduced into the tank. Thus resulting in waste entering the drain area and clogging it up.
